Tina Brown

Chief Executive

Tina is a driven entrepreneur and expert within the education sector; in particular, the opening and management of new and existing schools, inclusive of implementing and analysing financial feasibility studies.

Starting her professional career in investment and mortgage sales within the banking industry, Tina’s pivotal shift to education happened 18 years ago through her work as a School Bursar and later in the strategic arena leading the Schools Financial Team for her local government. In 2004, she moved to private school consultancy and in a natural career trajectory, opened her own company in 2007.

Tina is now the Chief Executive and co-owner of School Business Services (SBS) in the UK and SBS Education in the UAE. She leads their 90+ team to provide a full ‘school management solution’, offering highly trained and quality-specialised personnel to give the enterprise’s owners confidence that their new school project is being managed and grown by the most capable of teams.

Tina is overall responsible for the international school projects at SBS board level. Tina brings her exceptional experience of business leadership and management into each project, along with her financial planning strength. She has worked with principals and leading academics across the UK for many years.

Mark Tadman - ICT Director

Mark Tadman


Mark has worked to deliver education services for nearly 15 years and has a wealth of experience in the sector.

Previously his career had been in the private sector working for large IT organisations that delivered services for thousands of users. Mark’s move to education began with his passion to provide improved ICT services for schools, acknowledging that staff and students required corporate standard infrastructure and systems to enable excellent teaching and learning.

In 2008 Mark founded School Business Services with Tina Brown. The company immediately made an impact in the education sector due to its dedicated staff and excellent customer service. Mark is responsible for the ICT & MIS services within SBS and is constantly striving to improve services, make day-to-day operations more convenient for schools and reduce their costs.

Mark has been instrumental in establishing key partnerships with many leading providers of services in education to expand the offering of the SBS Group, and its reputation and reach to new customers.


Paul Grisewood

School Projects Director

Paul has worked as a school leader and is familiar with independent and international schools in many countries including Australia, UK, the Middle East and Japan.

He has worked in private, independent and international schools as a teacher, Deputy, Head of Primary, Principal, Director and CEO. He has also had the privilege of being a school governor and a Proprietor of an independent school in the UK.

Paul currently enjoys supporting a variety of Independent and International schools and organisations with marketing, school improvement, reviews and audits, governance, executive search recruitment and business operations, to ensure their viability in the long term.

Recent projects have included working in the Middle East on school project reviews and assisting a London based Prep school group with executive recruitment, marketing and school purchases and working with an independent school to develop its brand overseas and supply management services to its school in Dubai.

As a past CEO of a British International School in Japan, he is familiar with the English National Curriculum standards and ISA UK and COBIS membership. Additionally, he has led an IB World School in China as the Principal. In Australia, he was the Head of a large independent junior school and the Head of a campus at a private boy’s school in Sydney.
He has experience with various international curricula including the IPC and IB and has led schools through international CIS and WASC accreditation reviews and inspected schools as part of these teams also.

Paul is experienced with school business practices that include marketing, strategic planning, facilities, finances, compliance, safety and security. He brings a wealth of knowledge to SBS, regarding leadership, school improvement, community development, accreditation, recruitment and inspection.

Richard Page

SBS Online Product Manager

Richard leads the development and support of SBS Online, the first budget & staff management solution for the international market.

During his career in the financial services sector, Richard has worked in a number of key service delivery and project management roles, specialising in software development and back office system improvement. With a wealth of experience working for global investment banking firms, he understands the importance and impact of reliable, user-friendly software and the valuable, accurate data it provides the end-user.

Engaging customers to understand their challenges and to outline function improvement, Richard is passionate about responsive service delivery and the continued development of SBS Online. The software is built on an adept platform that can be adapted to the changing needs of schools.

To save time for busy schools by eradicating dual processing and double-entry, he has been pivotal in building exciting relationships with leading education software partners to orchestrate the seamless integration of SBS Online with leading finance, HR and MIS packages.

Richard and the SBS Online team are proud to develop and support an innovative solution that has received a 99% ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ rating, under 20 minutes average Service Desk resolution time and 97.5% customer retention. SBS Online is currently used by over 500+ schools across the globe, with 1000+ users, including the largest Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in the UK.
